Ali founded AVICENNE in 1992. He holds a Science degree from Université Paris Sud Orsay and École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, followed by an MBA in Innovation Management from Paris Dauphine. He has been performing strategic and marketing studies in the medical sector since 1990. He has advised major players in this industry (Medtronic, Stryker, Zimmer, DePuy) on strategic, marketing, technical and pricing issues, as well as mergers & acquisitions. He has also advised several private equity funds about acquisitions and build-ups. In 2005, he created “Implants”, a medical industry conference and exhibition, which he has chaired ever since. Ali is fluent in French, English and Farsi.

Christophe PILLOT - Director

Christophe has a Science degree and holds an MBA in Innovation Management from Paris Dauphine. Since joining AVICENNE in 1993, he has led strategic and marketing studies in Europe, the US, as well as in Asia and Africa. He lived in Japan for two years and has advised large multinational corporations as well as small and middle sized companies. Christophe is fluent in French and English.

Jean-Philippe SALVAT - Consultant

Jean-Philippe joined AVICENNE in 1994. His is responsible for operational studies. He has intimate knowledge of the medical device industry and its players. He is a Materials and Production Engineer with a degree from Metz University. Jean-Philippe is fluent in French and English and also speaks German.

Amir H. YASSARI - Consultant

Amir joined AVICENNE in 2000. He holds a dual degree in Marketing and International Finance from the Hanze University International Business School (Groningen, The Netherlands) and from the international section of ESSEC. He has worked on many strategic studies in the medical devices sector. He is responsible for data collection and analysis in Germany, Austria and the Benelux countries. Amir is fluent in English, French, German and Dutch.
